The Telegraph2020欧洲杯小组赛赛程 Fashion team has long praised Marks & Spencer's fashion offering. The retailer is our go-to source of flattering printed midis and excellent cashmere knits that work year-round (they're also staples in our current working-from-home wardrobes).
Last week, the brand unveiled its high summer collection2020欧洲杯小组赛赛程, featuring practical pieces aplenty that'll see us through every eventuality, from loungewear-esque basics to staycation-friendly pieces. As I flicked through the looks, I couldn't help but think how chic another fellow M&S fan would look in some of the pieces...
The Duchess of Cambridge - champion of the high street and advocate of re-wearing favourite clothes - has been spotted in several M&S pieces of late. Her smart rose pink suit was a particular favourite, while her slick white trainers from the brand's autumn collection were a wise buy that she could sport year round.
2020欧洲杯小组赛赛程She might like to note the brilliant pieces - both online now and in the upcoming new collection - that would be great additions to her spring wardrobe.
Here's are the M&S pieces Kate should have on her shopping list, and how she should style them...
The pastel knit
Textured V-neck knit, £25,
The proportions - slightly oversized and chunky, but with a flattering V-neck and almost cropped cut - of this sweet pastel knit mean it'll work with a range of trousers and jeans. The clean design lends itself well to an elevated day look, too.
What she can wear it with: Pale blue and camel are a colour match made in heaven, so Kate could pair this knit with her beige Massimo Dutti culottes for the perfect spring look. Should she need a smarter element to her outfit, navy cigarette trousers would nicely tick the box.
The cropped wide-leg jeans
Handily for the duchess, her go-to trouser style (wide-leg, high-waisted, cropped above the ankle) is this season's It shape, so there are tons of great versions around. This denim pair err on the smarter side thanks to the structured shape, so will work for her polished daytime looks.
What she can wear it with: a white shirt and her Superga trainers. To dress them up, she could pair with court heels and a pussybow blouse.
The leather trench
Trench coat, £399,
Granted a leather trench coat in principle is rather fashion-forward, but the components of this buttery soft one mean it'll slot into Kate's trans-seasonal wardrobe easily. The pared-back camel hue is already a signature shade of hers, while the sleek, minimal A-line design stops is from appearing too outre.
What she can wear it with:2020欧洲杯小组赛赛程 It'll add an edge to her floaty midi dresses, but will look most chic paired with a simple Breton top, her trusty blue jeans and heeled ankle boots.
The lemon trouser suit
2020欧洲杯小组赛赛程Kate should see this gingham trouser suit as the summery version of her blush pink version. For maximum cost-per-wear, it can be worn separately: the blazer would look great against dark denim while the trousers can be worn with an oversized shirt.
What she can wear it with: Her beloved wedged espadrilles and a cotton blouse would make the best pairing come summer, but for now, a fine grey knit and white trainers are ideal partners.
The denim dress
Tiered denim dress, £55,
2020欧洲杯小组赛赛程Every off-duty wardrobe needs a denim dress and the Duchess's is no different. The soft cotton (rather than a structured, rigid denim) makes it the ideal frock for lounging at home, then for heading out to run essential errands.
What she can wear it with: For a pulled-together but effortless ensemble, Kate could pair it with her slick white trainers (also M&S) and a khaki shacket.
